The private-funding thermometer rose by $20,235 in September, bringing the total to $90,923, or 66.7 percent of the goal.
The largest component was an $18K donation from the Friends, comprising proceeds from the spring book sale and memberships. In addition, the Book Nook added another $390 last month.
The Friends of EPL work tirelessly all year to provide the library with a critical
source of funding, and we are grateful for everything they do--thank you Friends! If you'd like to be part of a great group that does good things for the community, consider joining the Friends for as little as $10 a year.
Donations and fundraising, including the donation box, totaled $1475 last month. Cash receipts of $371 for
lost and damaged items, printing/copying, and room rentals rounded out the rest.
With three months left to go, the gap to the goal stands at $45,421.
Fall is the time when 2025 budget discussions and decisions take place in the municipalities we serve, and continued funding is never guaranteed. Please contact your local council members (see links below) and urge them to allocate adequate funding for the library in next year’s budget so we may continue to
