The 5th annual Tee Time at the Library extravaganza is just two months away! Mark your calendar and plan to bring your friends and family for a fun and challenging round of mini golf in the stacks while supporting the library.

Enjoy an adult beverage with light refreshments and live music at Friday's 21+ only event (March 7, 6 to 9 p.m.), and show off your putting skills on family day Saturday (March 8, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.), where tickets are just $5 each and kids age 4 and under play for free.

Woohoo--our yearly roundup of the books, DVDs, TV series and more that we enjoyed last year is here, and it's filled with great suggestions--from some classics, to 2024 bestsellers, and everything in between. 

We hope you'll see some of your own favorites on the list, and also some new and different titles to explore in 2025.

Jan. 16: Lesa Cline-Ransome (for 6th-8th graders)

We're excited to welcome award-winning author Lesa Cline-Ransome, joining us Jan. 16 via Zoom to talk about her new book, One Big Open Sky.

Lesa is the author of 25 books for young readers, including the award-winning Finding Langston trilogy. Her work has received a multitude of honors, including NAACP Image Award nominations, a Coretta Scott King Book Award Honor, the Scott O'Dell Award for Historical Fiction and a Christopher Award.

Her latest book, written in verse, tells the story of three Americans moving west in the Black Homesteader movement of the 1870s.

ART@EPL: Meet Ilene Rubin

A new art exhibit is going up today (Jan. 6) at the library, featuring beautiful paintings by local artist Ilene Rubin--thanks to our long-standing partnership with the Lehigh Art Alliance.

Creative Play @ The Family Place starts January 28!

Have toddlers? Join us Tuesday mornings starting Jan. 28 for some creative play, plus the chance to chat with other parents/caregivers and community resource professionals about child-centered topics.

We'll be joined each week by Heather Kistler, Pediatric & Neonatal Clinical Dietitian at Lehigh Valley Reilly Children's Hospital. Pediatric dentist Dr. Bret Lesavoy will join us Feb. 11, and Miss Amy, of The Lovely Little Lotus Yoga, will be bringing some fun music and movement to our Feb. 18 session.

Pinterest Parties return in February

Are you suffering from Pinterest Party withdrawal? We are too, so we have some great news--Pinterest Parties are returning in February!

Join us Feb. 3 at 6 p.m. to celebrate and get your craft on by making some pretty paper roses from old books.

Pinterest Parties are drop in for adults and families (children must be supervised)--with all supplies provided to the first 24 attendees, first come, first served.
